Usage:

In chemistry, it is used make agents, solvent, hygroscopic agent, antifreeze, and sugar substitute, topical ointment and suppository etc. Glycerol is used to produce nitroglycerin, which is an essential ingredient of explosives .

In the paint industry, it is used to manufacture a variety of alkyd resins, polyester resins, ether, and epoxy resin etc.

In the textile and dyeing , is used to produce lubricants, hygroscopic agents, fabric crease-resistant shrink-treatment agent, dispersant agent and penetrate agent.

Used as sugar substitute in the foods, also an ingredient in cigarettes that is used as a hygroscopic agent.
